Cleophas Malala during new party launch

The Abatovo council of elders of the larger Kabras clan who reside in Malava constituency of Kakamega have vowed to converge and curse former Kakamega county senator and Democratic Citizens party deputy leader Cleophas Malala, accusing him of dancing on the grave of the late United Democratic Alliance party aspirant Dr Enock Andanje.

Led by the chair Alfred Muhatia, they said it was wrong for Malala to disrespect senior government leaders led by the prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi and national assembly speaker Moses Wetang’ula on the soil of the clan.

Malala, who turned the burial ceremony of the late into a child’s play by playing loud unholy music, atop his car after he had castigated the two leaders who were still at the ceremony as he left, is now unwelcome in the area.

He has been given a week to apologise to the leaders and clan.

In their speech, the two leaders condemned Malala’s unbecoming behaviour, branding him a political con of the 20th century out to cause drama.

Malava community has vowed to rally and support the Kenya Kwanza government and will not be conned by individuals who are out to gain political mileage through theatrics.
